While we realise there are hundreds of COVID-19 updates flooding your inbox, we do want to let you know how Equipt is responding to keep our customers, staff and wider community safe and healthy at this time.

We want to ensure that we maintain a fast and reliable equipment hire service to help you keep your project on track.

Along with following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines, here’s what we’re doing...

Equipt staff are working remotely.

Our tech and sales staff are already familiar with remote working and our dispatch team have now moved out of the office to work from home as a precaution.

The account managers will not be entering either of our yards to keep the operations team socially isolated and safe during the working week.

Customer interactions are changing.

We are lucky enough to work in an industry that operates in open environments with plenty of fresh air. While our account management team will still visit job sites for face-to-face meetings, we will not be shaking your hand, bumping your fist or giving you a hug.

We have also put our regular customer events and BBQ shouts on hold for the foreseeable future. Watch your inbox for invitations when we resume.

Our machinery is squeaky clean.

Our civil and access equipment is always well washed and we are paying extra attention to the cabs and controls of our machines to ensure these are cleaned thoroughly with antibacterial products before heading to the next job site.

Helping you manage equipment utilisation & cost.

With our smart technology and fleet experts, we're here to help give you full transparency & insight into your hired equipment, so that you can better manage your equipment utilisation & costs through times of uncertainty or disruption.

We’re here to support you.

With the above measures in place we are confident that we can be resilient and respond rapidly to the changing needs of our customers at this time.

We recommend paying close attention to the recently announced government support package for businesses, including contractors, to find out how the options provided might help you.

More details can be found here.

The effects of this pandemic will impact our industry for some time. Tightly managing utilisation, delaying purchase of machinery and instead hiring equipment as required is a very effective way to manage cashflow when faced with uncertainty.

Reach out if you have any questions on the above or would like to talk about hire options to keep your projects moving.

Stay safe, stay well, stay strong.
