What types and sizes of rollers do you have for hire?
We hire a 1.4T trench roller, double drum rollers in 1.7T, 4.5T and 7T sizes, padfoot rollers in 5T, 7T and 12T, and smooth drum rollers in 7T and 12T. Call 0800 467 009 if you're not sure which one your job needs.
Should I choose a padfoot or smooth drum roller?
Padfoot rollers suit cohesive soils like clay where the pads knead and bind the material, while smooth drum rollers are best for granular materials like sand, gravel and finishing layers. Tell us what you're compacting and we'll point you to the right drum.
When would I use a trench roller?
The 1.4T trench roller is built for compacting backfill in trenches and other confined areas where a larger ride-on roller can't safely work. It's a popular choice for drainage and service trench work.
Do I need a licence to operate a roller?
There's no specific licence legally required to operate a roller on private land, but operators must be competent and WorkSafe guidelines apply. Our team can advise on requirements for your site.
Can you deliver a roller to my site?
Yes, we deliver Auckland-wide using our own transport trucks, with same day or next day transport available. Pickup from our Mangere yard is also an option.
What hire periods do you offer on rollers?
Daily, weekly and long-term hire are all available, with flexible terms on longer rentals. Tell us your programme and we'll work around it.
