28m JLG 860SJ Telescopic boom
This boom is for big commercial sites or when you need a large horizontal and vertical reach to do your job. The 28m telescopic boom is for big commercial sites — when the work is genuinely high or a long way out from where the machine can stand. Our JLG 860SJ reaches a 28.2 m working height (26.2 m platform) with a huge 22.9 m of horizontal outreach, putting two workers and tools almost anywhere on a mid-rise face.
These machines are the tool of choice for structural steel crews, roofers and bridge builders, and they’re a familiar sight at the end of high-rise apartment and office projects installing windows and cladding. Plan for the machine’s size: at over 12 m long and 17 tonnes it needs proper access and hardstanding, and it travels by heavy transporter. If 22m of working height covers you, the smaller class is cheaper to run and move; for the extreme jobs, our 38m boom goes higher again.
