Hire a 7 tonne smooth drum vibrating roller in Auckland for site prep, basecourse and subdivision compaction. Delivery available. Call 0800 467 009.

The 7T smooth drum is the standard production roller for civil earthworks — compacting granular fill, basecourse and sub-bases on subdivisions, roading, car parks and building platforms. Our CAT CS44B runs a 1676 mm drum with dual amplitude and up to 133 kN of centrifugal force, performing consistently on flat or sloped terrain, and it’s well suited to water and sewer trench corridor work.

Smooth drums use static weight, vibration and impact to compact gravels, rock, sand and mixed granular material to a tight, even surface — the right call whenever compaction specs are being tested on granular lifts. If your fill is cohesive clay, swap to the 7T padfoot for compaction at depth; for asphalt, look at our double drum classes.
