7T Caterpillar CP44B Single Drum Padfoot Roller
Use the padfoot roller for projects where you need to compact soil at greater depths and where the soil contains cohesive materials such as clay, silt or loam. Examples include backfilling deep trenches and compacting subgrade soil layers for roading, footpaths and building foundations.

Hire a 7 tonne padfoot roller in Auckland for compacting clay fill, deep trenches and subgrades on civil projects. Delivery available. Call 0800 467 009.
A 7 tonne padfoot roller is the civil contractor’s tool for compacting cohesive soils at depth — clay, silt and loam fills where a smooth drum would just seal the surface. The pads knead and compact each lift from the bottom up, making this class ideal for backfilling deep trenches, building subgrade layers for roading and footpaths, and preparing foundations on engineered fill.
Our Caterpillar CP44B delivers up to 133 kN of centrifugal force through a 1676 mm drum, with variable frequency to match your lift thickness and material. It covers significantly more ground per hour than the 5T padfoot, while staying compact enough for shoulder and corridor work. For final trim or granular material, pair it with (or swap to) the 7T smooth drum; for large bulk earthworks, the 12T padfoot is the production machine.
We deliver anywhere in Auckland. Call 0800 467 009 for advice on sizing and drum type for your compaction spec.
