When a standard plate won’t reach depth, the 400kg reversible plate compactor is the answer. Our Mikasa MVH-408 and Weber CR6 machines deliver serious centrifugal force and compact well below what a standard plate can reach — genuine structural compaction for trench backfill, road subgrades, hardstands and building platforms, in gravel, hardfill and even cohesive soils.
The reversible drive lets you work back and forth in trenches and against structures without turning around, and extension plates adjust the working width to suit the job, covering over 1,100 m² per hour. It bridges the gap between hand-guided gear and a ride-on roller — ideal where rollers can’t fit but the compaction spec is real. For light paving and landscaping work, the 60kg plate is easier to handle; for trench work in heavy clay, also consider our 1.4T remote control trench roller.
