The 8 tonne class delivers big-machine productivity while keeping the transport and access advantages of a midi excavator. It’s the workhorse for subdivision earthworks, bulk drainage, house demolition, pool digs, retaining walls and loading trucks — digging 4.1–4.6 m deep with breakout forces over 60 kN and lifting north of two tonnes. Compact-radius designs across the class let you work confined urban sites without worrying about tail swing.
Our 8T fleet is led by the Yanmar ViO80-1, backed by the Kubota KX080-3, so availability is rarely a problem. All are set up for attachments — rock breakers, augers, compaction wheels, tilt and grab buckets — turning one machine into a full toolkit. If your access is narrow or the job is light, the 5.5T class is easier to place; for major bulk works, consider the 14T.
