Sitting between our 16m and 21m knuckle booms, the 18m class adds working height and a full 9 m of horizontal outreach — valuable when the workface sits back from where the machine can park. Our Skyjack SJ51AJ reaches a 17.55 m working height (15.55 m platform) with 7.45 m of up-and-over clearance.
Like all our articulating booms it offers 360-degree continuous rotation and zero tail swing, so it performs in tight locations — between buildings, over awnings and plant, and around mid-rise construction and industrial maintenance jobs. Platform capacity is 227 kg for two people and tools. If your work is mostly vertical with big material loads, a rough terrain scissor may serve better; for straight-line reach at height, compare our telescopic boom classes.
