How often should the grease be checked and re-greased when using a breaker on an excavator?

The excavator needs to be greased every day that it’s on the job.

Too little grease will cause accelerated wear because it won't provide enough lubrication.

However, using too much doesn’t help with lubrication - it can make a mess, attracts and traps abrasive materials (dust, sand, gravel) that can do as much damage as no grease at all, can also trap heat where it will cause an increase in wear-causing friction.

A general rule is to grease until new grease appears - usually three pumps.

When using the breaking attachment typically every 1 to 2 hours — to reduce buildup, tool wear and bushing wear.
